The WM-663 cuts heat shrink tube to length from the reel, slips it over a wire end and shrinks it in place — one station, one foot-press per wire. It takes sleeve from Φ2.0 to Φ8.0 with a size-matched fixture, uses a listed 200–380 °C heating range. The listed 2.5-second cycle and 800–2,500 pieces per hour require confirmation together for your production setup. PLC control with a 4.3-inch color TFT sets tube length, position and temperature per recipe, and forced-air cooling sets the sleeve before the clamp opens. The 75 kg floor unit measures 500 × 640 × 1,300 mm and runs on 220 V with clean compressed air.

Key features

  • One foot-press does three jobs — sleeve cut to length from the reel, positioned over the wire end, shrunk tight — replacing the scissors-and-heat-gun handwork station
  • The specification lists a 2.5-second cycle and 800 to 2,500 finished ends per hour. We confirm the achievable output and cycle basis on your actual sleeve and wire
  • Tube length, position and shrink temperature are stored as recipes on the PLC touchscreen, so marker positions repeat batch after batch
  • Adjustable 200–380 °C heating range covers thin-wall insulation sleeve and printed marker tube alike, with forced-air cooling setting the sleeve before the clamp opens

What it processes

  • End insulation and strain-relief sleeves on AC and DC power cable ends and terminals
  • Printed identification markers shrunk at set positions on harness wires
  • Solder-joint and terminal barrel covering on electronic wire assemblies

Suited for: repetitive end-of-wire sleeve work — insulation and marker sleeves from Φ2.0 to Φ8.0 cut, placed and shrunk at the same spot on every wire, AC/DC leads and terminal barrels included. Not suited for: shrinking long sections, mid-span splices or finished bundles — for splice and bundle work, pick the WM-664 infrared harness heat shrink oven, which takes harness sections up to Ø100 mm; for longer runs browse the heat shrink processing category — and it does not cut or strip the wire itself.

Sleeve walls and shrink ratios vary by brand, so we prove it first: send 2–3 meters of your wire plus a length of your actual sleeve and we run them on this machine on video before you commit.

WM-663 — common questions

How does a cycle actually run?

The operator pushes the stripped wire end into the guide hole and steps on the foot switch. The machine cuts the programmed sleeve length from the reel, carries it over the wire end, shrinks it at the set temperature and cools it with forced air — with a listed 2.5-second cycle. The specification also lists 800 to 2,500 pieces per hour; these figures do not align for one finished part per cycle. We confirm the cycle basis and achievable hourly output before ordering.

Which sleeve sizes fit, and how do I change over?

Sleeve outer diameters from Φ2.0 to Φ8.0 run with a size-matched fixture. Changing size means swapping the corresponding fixture and recalling the recipe on the 4.3-inch touchscreen — tube length, position and temperature all come back with the program.

What is the WM-663 not designed to do?

It shrinks one short sleeve at the end of a wire — it is not a tunnel oven for shrinking long sections, mid-span splices or whole bundles, which is work for the ovens in the heat shrink processing category. It also does not cut or strip the wire itself.
