Electric Wire Stripping Machine for 0.03–4 mm² Wires, No Air Supply Needed WM-1215D
The WM-1215D is an all-electric benchtop stripper for fine wires from 0.03 to 4 mm² (max cable OD 4.2 mm) — it runs from a power outlet, so no air compressor or air line is needed. The specification lists 0.01 mm blade-diameter steps; confirm the setting increment before ordering, stripping lengths reach 20 mm with both full and partial strips, and one cycle takes 0.5 s. At 4.5 kg and only 85 mm wide, it fits — and moves — anywhere on the bench.

Key features
- All-electric drive — plug the power adapter into a bench outlet and strip; no compressor, no air piping, no pneumatic upkeep
- Fine blade-diameter adjustment supports work on wires as small as 0.03 mm²; we confirm the setting increment and conductor condition on your sample
- One blade set covers the whole 0.03–4 mm² range — no blade changes between jobs
- Full strip and partial strip on the same machine, with stripping lengths up to 20 mm and support for very short pieces
- 4.5 kg body only 85 mm wide — the slimmest station on the bench, easy to carry between work cells
What it processes
- Electronics labs, R&D benches, rework and repair stations that have no compressed-air supply
- Discrete, solid and stranded wires with rubber, PUR, PVC or Teflon insulation
- Small multi-conductor cables up to 4.2 mm OD in control-panel and appliance wiring
- Mobile or shared workstations where a 4.5 kg machine moves to the job instead of the other way around
Suited for: benches with no compressed-air line that still need machine-quality stripping — discrete, solid and stranded wires from 0.03 to 4 mm², cables up to 4.2 mm OD, full or partial strips with lengths up to 20 mm. Not suited for: cutting wire to length (see the automatic cut and strip machines) or conductors above 4 mm² — heavy wires up to 25 mm² belong on the pneumatic WM-1216C. If you want to stay all-electric but need more machine, the WM-1219 inductive stripper takes the same idea up to 20 mm² and 40 mm strip lengths, with wire-sensing start and 30 stored recipes for shift-long production.
Ship us a sample of your wire and we set this machine up for it, strip it on camera, and send you the footage together with the settings we used.

Choose and troubleshoot this process
- Minimum Strip Length: The Number Most Machine Specifications Leave OutHow to specify minimum strip length, distinguish a programmable setting from an achieved result, and verify the required preparation against the terminal drawing.
- Automatic vs Semi-Automatic Wire Processing EquipmentCompare automatic lines and semi-automatic wire-processing cells using batch size, changeover, process integration, inspection and labor content.
- Cut Lengths Drifting on a Full Spool: Pay-Off Tension, Straightener Bearings and MisfeedWhy a cut-and-strip machine that held length on a loose coil walks 10–20 mm once a heavy reel goes on, how misfeed detection works, and how to check reel tension, straighteners, feed grip and encoder calibration.
WM-1215D — common questions
Do I need an air compressor for the WM-1215D?
No — that is the machine's whole point. It is fully electric and runs from a bench power outlet through its power adapter, so there is nothing pneumatic to install, pipe or maintain. If your workshop already runs shop air and you prefer an air-driven unit, look at its pneumatic twin, the WM-1215C.
Which insulation materials can it strip?
Rubber, PUR, PVC and Teflon insulated wires are all within its range, on solid, stranded and discrete conductors as well as single-core and multi-core cables — up to 4 mm² cross-section and 4.2 mm outer diameter.
How precise is the blade setting on very fine wire?
The specification lists both 0.01 mm and 0.001-inch settings. These values are not equivalent, so the required setting increment is confirmed before ordering. On fine wire such as 0.03 mm², we check the blade setting and conductor condition on your actual sample rather than treating adjustment resolution as a finished-strip guarantee.
