Rotary Blade Cable Cutting and Stripping Machine for 6–120 mm² Multi-Core Cable WM-170X
Our WM-170X cuts and strips 6–120 mm² cable with a rotary knife and a 24-wheel belt feed. Adjustable feed pressure helps control traction on different jackets, while PLC settings can be stored and recalled between batches. Side A full stripping reaches 300 mm and side B reaches 150 mm. Specified output is 800–1,000 pieces per hour, depending on cable length and size, with a maximum guide diameter of 24 mm.

Key features
- Rotary cutting scores around the jacket; we test your cable and show the stripped surface so you can assess the result before ordering.
- Adjustable belt-feed pressure helps balance grip and jacket protection when changing cable constructions.
- Store and recall up to 100 parameter records through the PLC control system, reducing repeated setup entry between batches.
- Separate full-strip and half-strip ranges at each end let you prepare cable for different termination requirements.
What it processes
- Power cable preparation for electrical equipment and harness assembly
- Multi-core and shielded cable jacket stripping, with the required layer profile confirmed on a sample
- Repeat batches of 6–120 mm² cable requiring automatic feeding, cutting and stripping
Suited for: repeat cutting and stripping of 6–120 mm² cable with a guide diameter up to 24 mm. Tell us the insulation material and the layers that must remain intact, and we run your sample on video before you order.
For thin wire below 6 mm², compare the WM-167. For conventional opposing-blade processing, compare the WM-1420.
We set the voltage for your country and ship the English interface and manual. Wear parts include blades, belts and guide tubes; every quote lists them with unit price and the location they ship from.

WM-170X — common questions
How does this differ from the WM-1420 conventional cut-and-strip machine?
Our WM-1420 uses an opposing-blade head and a 32-wheel belt feed. The WM-170X uses a rotary knife. These are separate configurations; send the cable construction and required strip profile so we can demonstrate the suitable cutting method.
Does the specification guarantee individual-core stripping or staggered core lengths?
The supplied specifications give front and rear full-strip and half-strip lengths. They do not establish independent strip lengths for every inner core. Send the cable cross-section and required finished profile; we will demonstrate the required operation on your sample.
What output should I use for production planning?
The specified range is 800–1,000 pieces per hour, depending on cable length and size. We time your intended job during the sample run so you can plan around the actual feed and stripping cycle.
Will the belts mark the jacket or the blade nick strands?
Feed pressure and blade setup depend on insulation material and construction. We film your sample run and show the stripped ends and jacket surface for inspection before ordering.
Is it suitable for wire below 6 mm²?
For smaller single-core wire, compare our WM-167 and send the required strip length and material.
