Automatic Wire Cutting, Stripping, Twisting and Single-End Crimping Machine, AWG 14–28 WM-378
The WM-378 turns bulk wire into finished single-end leads in one cycle — it cuts to length, strips, twists the bare strands tight and crimps a terminal on the other end under a 2-ton press. It handles AWG 14–28 wire below 4 mm², cut lengths from 45 to 9,999 mm at 1 mm + 0.2% accuracy, and delivers 2,000–3,000 pieces per hour on leads within 300 mm. Wire presence, terminal presence, wire blocking and air pressure detection stop bad pieces before they reach the bin.

Key features
- Replaces three benches in one footprint — cutting, stripping, strand twisting and terminal crimping happen in a single automated cycle
- Twisted tails are prepared for the next operation without hand-twisting; the preparation must meet the terminal specification and is confirmed on your sample
- Four in-line detections (wire, terminal, blocking, air pressure) halt the cycle on faults instead of filling the tray with scrap
- Compact 0.65 × 0.7 m cabinet on casters rolls into small harness shops and holds 1 mm + 0.2% length accuracy up to 9,999 mm
What it processes
- Appliance and control-cabinet jumper leads with one crimped end and one solder-ready twisted end (AWG 14–28)
- Lighting, small-motor and PCB pigtails produced in batches of hundreds to thousands
- Harness shops replacing a manual strip-twist-crimp line with one operator loading reels
Suited for: batch production of single-end crimped leads whose other end must arrive twisted and solder-ready — appliance, lighting and control-panel wiring in AWG 14–28, cut anywhere from 45 to 9,999 mm. Not suited for: leads that need terminals, seals or housings on both ends — for double-end crimping, pick the WM-382 servo dual-end crimping machine, the double-end twin of this station over the same AWG 14–28 range; seal and housing versions live with the other terminal crimping machines. Woven jackets — cloth-braided and fibre-covered lead wire — also fall outside this machine’s blade stripping: they belong on the WM-3217 hot stripping and single-end crimping machine, which melts the braid open over AWG 18–28 instead of cutting it.
Send 2–3 meters of your actual wire with your terminal reel and we run your exact lead on this machine on video — length, twist quality and crimp — before you commit.

WM-378 — common questions
What happens to the end that is not crimped?
It is stripped 1.5–10 mm and the bare strands are twisted in the same cycle. The lead leaves with one terminated end and one twisted tail. We confirm the permitted twisting and connection method against your terminal specification and sample before the next operation.
Which wires and terminals does it accept?
Single-conductor wire from AWG 14 to AWG 28 (below 4 mm²) fed from a reel, and side-feed chain terminals crimped under a 2-ton press. Cut length is programmable from 45 to 9,999 mm on the touchscreen, with longer specials available on request.
Can it crimp terminals on both ends of the wire?
No — this is a single-end crimping layout with the second end stripped and twisted. If you need terminals on both ends, or seal and housing insertion, the double-end models in our terminal crimping machines category cover those jobs.
